Governor Sonko had participated in a bicycle riding exercise to promote non-motorized transportation as a way of conserving the environment.
While other leaders present were pictured on mountain bikes, Governor Sonko climbed on a small bicycle that seemed to have been customized for him.
"Earlier today, I took part in the high level bicycle riding in Nairobi together with UN officials & Diplomats. The initiative is aimed at promoting non-motorized transport in Nairobi in order to reduce our carbon footprint," the Governor captioned his photos.
Reactions to Governor Sonko
There were mixed reactions from Governor's followers, some wanted to know more about the practicability of the non-motorized system while others generally criticized the county boss.

Wilbert stated: "The pedestrian footpaths have been turned to bodaboda lane and hawkers...We are experiencing too much human congestion as we walk on the streets because of hawkers everywhere....leading to high rates of pick-pocketing."
