Cheruyoit was responding to claims that the DP broke protocol by arriving after the President had arrived into the meeting held at Kasarani Stadium.
The Senator, who is an insider in Ruto’s camp, claimed that the Akorino Conference was “Ruto’s meeting”.
“On the issue of whether he was supposed to be there and his late arrival, I will tell you without battling an eye-lid that this was his meeting. They planned this with the leadership of the Akorino church.”
“I know this for a fact because I happened to pass by the Deputy President’s office and I met him with the Akorino leadership and they were preparing for this function. He is the one who bought them that 6-acre land to construct a college,” the Senator said.
