Mama Angeline Ajwang Ongere has stated that she is not aware of any plans to cremate the body of her son, who died last Friday.
She stated that she would prefer to have her son interred at her home in Kasipul Kabondo.
"I am of the opinion that he be buried at Kabondo Kasipul in Homa Bay County, where I can wake up and see his grave every day," she stated in an interview with K24.
Mama Angeline's sentiments came a few hours after relatives of the MP's late father stated that they wanted him to be buried beside his father in Kochai, Homa Bay.
The family spokesman Raymond Mbai told reporters that the family had been left out on planning the funeral.
"When someone dies he should be buried within his father’s home. In this case, the MP comes from Kochia and should be buried in Kochia," Mbai stated.
The MP's parents are said to have parted ways in the 80s and he went on to have other children while the legislator's mother returned to her parents in Kasipul.

The MP's mother also took the opportunity to send a warning ahead of time to any woman who may be intending to cause a fracas concerning his son.
"Ken did not sire any child. I know many women will come out to claim they have at least a child with Ken," she stated.
