Inferno guts down popular hotel

Fire at popular Hotel

Fire razed down the popular Leopard Beach Hotel in Diani, Kwale County.

The inferno affected 100 rooms but no injuries were reported.

Msambweni OCPD Joseph Chebusit said that the guests at the hotel had been evacuated safely.

According to reports, the fire was suspected to have been caused by fireworks which caught a makuti-thatched cottage and spread quickly.

In 2012, another inferno had broken out at the same premises and fortunately, no injuries were reported.
