866 more test positive for Covid-19, total hits 87,249

6 more patients have succumbed to the virus

The Ministry of Health has announced that 866 more people have tested positive for Covid-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 87,249.

The new cases are from 7,815 samples tested in the last 24 hours, where by 525 are male, and 341 females.

6 patients have succumbed to the deadly coronavirus disease, bringing total fatalities to 1,506.

322 patients have recovered for Coronavirus, 259 of whom are from the Home-based care program, and 63 discharged from various hospitals across the country.

There 1,194 patients admitted in various hospitals across the country, with 7,984 others on home-based care.

77 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) 31 of whom are on ventilatory support and 45 on supplementary oxygen.

67 other patients are supplementary oxygen, 57 of them in General wards and 10 in High Dependency Units (HDU)
