Maraga's team makes fresh announcement on Raila's swearing-in

NASA leader Raila Odinga announced that he would be sworn-in on 12th December (Jamhuri Day).

Speaking at Pride Inn Hotel on Friday, Chief Registrar of the Judiciary Anne Amadi, disclosed that the Opposition had not informed them of the planned inauguration.

"The Judiciary has not been notified on the inauguration ceremony planned by the Opposition party,"  Amadi said.

NASA, now dubbed the National Resistance Movement, sent invitation cards for the swearing in of the former Prime Minister on Friday but failed to disclose the venue of the event.

"You are invited. Come witness the swearing-in of the people's president Raila Amollo Odinga on 12th December at 12 noon. Location to be communicated after vetting of RSVP," part of the card reads.

The Opposition leader announced that he would be sworn in and move to State House on Tuesday, the same day President Uhuru Kenyatta was sworn-in.

"I will be sworn-in as President through the People's Assembly and get into State House on December 12. Uhuru Kenyatta is not the President of Kenya," he affirmed.
