Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu on Monday sent on compulsory leave her Communication Department team after sensitive information from the county was leaked.
It is not clear the type of Information that may have leaked form her office, but Ms Ngilu in the recent past has been embroiled in a spat involving the ban on charcoal burning in his county, a move which saw massive protests in Kiambu County last week.
Ms Ngilu also stopped sand harvesting in Kitui County. The suspension of the Communication team comes a day after the Governor vowed to work with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Work with Uhuru
Speaking during a graduation ceremony at Kitui Teachers College over the weekend, Ms Ngilu emphasised the need to work closely with the government to actualise her development agenda.
“I am going to work hand-in-hand with President Uhuru Kenyatta,” she vowed.
The governor noted that the Jubilee Government manifesto is same as hers and therefore the need of working together towards bringing it into reality.
Regarding the much-hyped she disclosed that President Kenyatta had offered a hand to help empower her people economically.
