Mugo appeared before her court to answer to charges of running a medical facility without the proper licenses.

Mugo denied the charges seeking to have the court release him which was not granted.

The quack will remain in custody until December 6 when his case will be heard again.

According to the charge sheet, Mugo is facing three charges including two counts of carrying out unlawful business as a pharmacist without a license and operating a medical laboratory without a licence.

The prosecution managed to convince the court to deny Mugo bail after they stated that he had a similar case still pending in court.

The court had earlier ordered a medical examination for Mugo before his trials begin.

Victor Gathiru and Risper Auma

Two young students Mugo had employed in his clinic were granted bail pending the determination of their cases.

Victor Gathiru Kamunya, 22, and Risper Auma Ogony, 19, were released on Sh200,000 bail after being detained for two weeks.

The two are charged with various offenses related to operating a pharmacy illegally.
