EACC said Joseph Gikonyo who is a KRA manager in Eldoret could not account for Sh615 million he acquired in eight years, with a salary of Sh119, 000. Gikonyo has heavily invested in three prime properties at the Coast including a six-acre piece of land in Mtwapa valued at Sh27 million.

He was allegedly developing apartments on a 0.6-acre piece of land in Nyali valued at Sh125 million and residential houses in Shanzu at a cost of Sh25 million. He is also reported to have 12 vacant plots scattered across the county: a three-bedroom maisonette at Greenspan Estate and another plot where he has set up an office block and carwash business.

Osiro who is also former Nairobi Governor Dr. Evans Kidero’s co-accused in a case of defrauding the county Sh213 million could not account for property worth Sh330 million acquired from 2011-2016.

The former Nairobi County head of accounting earned a net salary of Sh65,000 monthly and he allegedly owns ten properties scattered across Kisumu County listed for repossession valued at Sh158 million.

Osiro has six properties in Nairobi ranging from two-bedroom apartments to a maisonette under construction totaling Sh138 million located in Runda, Lavington, Kileleshwa and Mbagathi.
