I lost my new born son and daughter - Hon Isaac Mwaura opens up

The nominated senator confesses of election fails, the death of his children and a sh11.2 million debt.

After losing the Jubilee ticket to vie for Ruiru Constituency parliamentary seat, Isaac Mwaura says his life has turned into a living hell.

"I went ahead to vie for Ruiru parliamentary seat, suffered political violence and eventually lost the election. Some people thought that I was down and out. Others even celebrated!!!" he said.

In January his wife, Nelius Mukami gave birth to two boys and a girl. Unfortunately one of the boys and his baby girl died leaving him with a tremendous hospital bill to clear.

He wrote on Facebook, "Mukami and I even lost two of our triplets (a boy and a girl) and we were left with only one son and a hospital bill of 11.2 million to clear not forgetting that we were in the middle of party primary campaigns. It was really tough but we kept the faith."

Silver Lining

Their salvation came in the form of a notice in the Kenya Gazette that the President elect Uhuru Kenyatta had nominated him to the Senate under Jubilee Party.

Still, he expressed his gratitude, "This is the making of the LORD and HE looks at us deeply. HE and only HE knows the intentions of our hearts. HE makes a way where there seems to be no way. HE lifts and exalts HIS own and HIS word shall surely come to pass."
