5 Kenyans killed in nasty accident

The cause of the accident is yet to be established.

The five, including a female Kirinyaga University student, were killed after a motorcycle they were riding on was hit by car at Kagumo town in Kirinyaga County, a local radio reports.

Police disclosed that the accident happened at around 10pm on Sunday night when the five youth in the motorcycle heading to Kerugoya were hit by an oncoming Karatina-bound car.

Three died on the spot while the other two died while receiving treatment at the ACK Mt. Kenya Hospital in Kerugoya.

Eye witnesses told the press that police were forced to shoot in the air to disperse the irate residents at the scene.
