Heartbreaking details of Lake Nakuru Chopper Accident released

According to the statement, there five people on Board a male pilot including three male passengers and one female passenger.

The chopper crashed shortly after taking off from Jarika hotel. It was reportedly heading to Narok for Jubilee campaigns.

The statement further reveals that investigations are ongoing to establish the cause of the accident through the help of appropriate Government agencies.

"It left the hotel at 7am to Narok but crashed in the Lake," Nakuru OCPD Joshua Omukatta said.

Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika has confirmed that three members of her media team were among five people in chopper that crashed in the lake.

The lake has been sealed off for the rescue operations.

Kenya Civil Aviation Authority has clarifies the helicopter that crashed in Lake Nakuru is owned by Flex Air Charters.
