The betting firm who announced the decision through their social media platform, stated that the move was due to postponement of three games in the French Ligue 1.

The games were pushed to a later date as a result of unrest witnessed in France after the President Emmanuel Macron announced that unpopular fuel tax increases in the country’s budget would be removed.

Fear of further protests in the nation led to the cancellation of the games by the Ligue 1 body.

In October this year, Cosmas Korir, a former parliamentary aspirant in the 2017 August 8 General Election, won the Mega Jackpot of Sh208,733,619.

History made in Gaming

The capture of the prize by Korir was the fourth time the Mega Jackpot has been won after three winners shared the jackpot back in May 2017.

Gordon Ogada on May 4 this year, became the third winner after bagging Sh 230,742,881 which became the highest amount ever won in the history of gaming in the country.

Samuel Abisai, made history in 2017 when he became the first person to win the Sportpesa Mega Jackpot.
