My life could be in danger - NASA principal

The principal has vowed to go to court to stop the mess

The revelation by the Bungoma Senator elect and national chairman of Ford Kenya party comes in the wake of reports that his bodyguard was fired following a scuffle with his seniors at the entry at the Supreme Court on Monday.

Speaking to KTN News on the sidelines of a crucial NASA's legal team meeting on Tuesday, Mr Wetangula exposed a plan to prosecute the matter in court to seek justice on Wednesday (today).

"As you can see, I am just walking alone. This in fact puts my life in danger. So ideally I am not safe and this impunity should stop," Mr Wetangula said.

He added: “He is good guy, courteous enough and I doubt if he created any disturbance as being alleged by the police, so I cannot say that he is a of deviant character. Something must be wrong.”

Meanwhile, the National Police Service has refuted claims that Mr Lonyang' was struck off his duties and maintained that the disciplinary against the officer is still ongoing.

Earlier, Mr Lonyang' Simon was held by GSU police officers on accusations that he caused public disturbance at the entry of the Supreme Court alongside his boss Moses Wetangula. The police said he could be charged in court

Intervention

The situation forced Raila Odinga and Wetangula to confront the security officers demanding the guards to be allowed in. A  bodyguard, only identified as Simon, was ejected and held after his gun was withdrawn.

Raila said they have a right to decide who should accompany them.

The principals were making an entry into the Supreme court Premises for the hearing of the Petition challenging President Uhuru Kenyatta’s win.
