This comes a day after the tragic death of Nyeri Governor Wahome Gakuru, who was killed in a nasty accident at Kabati near Kenol along the Thika- Murang'a road.
Confirming the reports Nyeri County legal advisor David Mugo divulged that the swearing-in ceremony would be held in the afternoon.
According to the Constitution if the office of the county governor becomes vacant through death then the Deputy Governor assumes office as county governor for the remainder of the term of the county governor.

At the same time, ICT Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru announced that the late Governor will be buried on Saturday, November 18.
Mr. Mucheru stated that Gakuru will be accorded a state funeral at his home county.
To facilitate this, three teams consisting of both the national and county governments as well as senior state officials, relatives and friends were formed to oversee the funeral and burial arrangements of the late Gakuru.
