The oath-taking ceremony opened a Pandora's box at the Aga Khan-owned TV station which saw it shut down for almost one week.
Speculations have been rife that Mr. Madowo is exiting Nation Media Group (NMG) but no confirmation has been made yet.
The journalist has remained away from NTV screen and his political show Side Bar that aired on Wednesday nights is no longer there.
Pulselive.co.ke contacted Madowo to know the fate of the popular show but he never replied to our text message.
Also, his FrontRow column on the Daily Nation was scrapped off after an opinion piece he wrote on former Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i ( he now serves as the Interior and Coordination CS).
The article titled: “Matiang’i leadership style delusive” led to a confrontation between Madowo and his bosses during a heated meeting.
Mr Madowo who can be easily be described as a Twitterati has also been away from the social media platform and has only been tweeting sparingly.
So what has Madowo been up to?
After the hullabaloo at NMG regarding his article on Mr. Matiang’i, Madowo ended his contract with the Daily Nation and now writes his opinion pieces for the Washington Post.
The diverse reporter has also been making his contributions to international media companies including the BBC and Aljazeera.
On Wednesday, the journalist was also live on CBC Radio in Canada and Public Radio International in the US.
