What DPP Haji forced Nation Media Group to do after this corruption story

Haji was very angry with Nation Media Group...

In the article, Nation claimed to have conducted a phone interview with Mr. Haji, who purportedly stated that he was ready to bring down the high and mighty in corruption scandals.

Minutes after the publication the DPP issued a statement denying having an interview with the publication.

“The DPP has not had any telephone conversation with the author of the article. The DPP has not at any time in his press release or press conference said that he will bring down the high and mighty as alleged by the misleading heading in the fight against corruption," the statement read.

The uproar from Mr. Haji has since forced the Nation to pull down the story as more is being probed on what transpired.

“Editor's Note: This story has been withdrawn to deal with factual questions,” this is the message that is now on Nation’s website.
