NSSF issues urgent warning to Kenyans regarding online scam

If received the message should not be forwaded

It reads 'Those who worked between the 1990 and 2018, are eligible for withdrawal of KES161,500.00 from NSSF Kenya. Check if your name is on the list of those persons who are eligible to withdraw these funds"

The link leads to a shadowy site that is a bad attempt to replicate the NSSF official colours. After a sequence of questions that a user is asked to answer, one is asked to share the link with as many Whatsapp contacts as possible.

In this regard we request that once you receive it, please delete it without either forwarding or attempting to follow the said link, this may expose you and your group member to online identity theft. In the meantime our technical team is working on pulling down the link," part of the statement reads.
