The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party’s Disciplinary Committee has recommended the suspension of 9 Nairobi MCAs, over misconduct.

The MCAs have also been fined between Sh500,000 to Sh1 million
In a statement by ODM Secretary General, Edwin Sifuna, the committee recommended to the Party’s National Executive Committee to have the 9 out of 12 MCAs too be suspended from the party for a period of between 3 to 6 months.
The members will also be de-whipped from all positions they hold courtesy of the party, and barred from ever holding any party positions.
The MCAs were also slapped with different fines, ranging from between, Sh500,000 to Sh1 million.
The MCAs include; Wilson Ochola, Nicholas Okumu, Hafsa Khalif, Maurice Gari, Carolyne Mayunzu, Millicent Okatch, David Okello, Redson Otieno, Jared Okode, David Mbithi.
Cecilia Ayot was ordered to pay a Sh500,000 as Haji Nimo’s case remains pending.
Other MCAs affected with the recommendation include Duke Masira and Callen Atuya of the Nyamira County Assembly, and Majimbo Okumu and Violet Makhanu from the Bungoma County Assembly.
