2 NTV journalists join Larry Madowo at BBC

Congratulations to the two.

The departure of the two comes on the heels of a rigorous exercise to reorganize the Kimathi Street based media house, with new faces set to grace the NTV screens, including former Capital FM news reporter Olive Burrows.

“It is true Hudheifa Aden is headed to the BBC’s business unit. I also know that Peter Mwangangi of coastal region has resigned,” a source who spoke to pulselive.co.ke on condition of anonymity said.

The two will be joining Larry Madowo who joined the BBC in April, and is heading the BBC Africa Business desk as the Editor. Hudheifa is set to work under Larry Madowo. He is a trained lawyer, with interest in business and politics.

Details of Mwangangi’s new role at BBC remain unclear, but while at NTV he has been working on various feature stories at the coast, including security, especially Al-Shabaab related stories in Mombasa, Kilifi and Kwale counties.

Meanwhile, reports that the new found #Sidebar host Ken Mijungu had been sacked at the station are untrue, a source has further confirmed.

BBC in the recent past has tapped into local talent, both from NTV and Citizen TV. Mercy Kandie and Sylvia Chebet, both of Citizen are said to be joining the BBC.
