Wild Reactions after Philemona Mwilu was arrested

Mwilu was apprehended at Supreme Court by Directorate of Criminal investigations George Kinoti over alleged corruption charges.

When the news of her arrest broke, Kenyans were quick to recall a statement issued against Supreme Court judges by President Uhuru Kenyatta after the nullification of the presidential election.

A section of the public remembered the wakora and we will revisit comments made by an angry Kenyatta after the historic ruling.

Popular Economist David Ndii claimed that Mwilu’s arrest was a plot to create a vacancy for another Supreme Court judge perceived to be allied to the Government.

At the same time, some commended the DCI for the arrest noting that they were convinced that the fight against corruption was real.

However, others were skeptical stating that they first want to witness those implicated sent to jail as others demanded the arrest of some political leaders accused of being corrupt.
