President Uhuru Kenyatta has found himself on the receiving end after he met billionaire businessman Deepak Kamani.

Kamani featured prominently in the Anglo-leasing scandal in which taxpayers lost billions of shillings in questionable dealings.

Leading the attack was lawyer Donald Kipkorir who questioned the message being sent to the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission when the president meets individuals who are subject of investigations in corruption cases.

Kamani was part of the delegation that received the President at Diani beach hotel.

Politician and activist Boniface Mwangi was among the first people to comment about the meeting, highlighting that the businessman is currently in court “for acquisition of public resources totalling to Sh. 10.4 billion."

In his second term in office, President Kenyatta will be seeking to cement his legacy with a clear agenda for the nation already in place.

The public is keenly watching to see how he handles corruption which remains a major concern for many.

Although the businessman remains innocent until proved guilty by a court of law,   a section of the public weighed in on the president, questioning his commitment in the fight against corruption.
