This comes hours after Obado's PA Michael Oyamo was denied bail.

Obado is currently being grilled at the Kisumu DCI offices as probe into Sharon Otieno's murder continues.

Mr Obado took himself to the offices after he was summoned by detectives probing the murder after he was adversely mentioned over the matter.

This comes a day after Obado's PA Michael Oyamo was denied bail.

Homa Bay Senior Resident Magistrate Lester Simiyu on Monday ruled that Mr Oyamo should remain in police custody until Tuesday when he will be charged.

Also being grilled by the DCI detectives is Nation journalist Barrack Oduor who was with Sharon Otieno before her brutal death.

Both the Obado and Oduor did not speak to journalists as they made their way into the DCI regional headquarters in Kisumu.

Obado's PA Oyamo denied having taken part in the brutal murder, saying he was also kidnapped alongside Oduor and Ms Otieno after their meeting in Rongo town.

In his statement following his arrest, Oyamo said that after his kidnappers attacked him, he proceeded to seek treatment in Kisii and claimed he was arrested while heading to a police station to report the incident.

Oduor, on his part, said that he and the deceased university student left Rongo after Oyamo told them he would take them to meet Governor Obado.

The Nation journalist added that it was on their way to meet the Governor that they were joined by two men who wore masks, and later attempted to strangle him. Sensing danger, Oduor said he jumped out of the moving car and sustained injuries on his knees.
