In a statement by Multi-sectoral Committee on Unsafe Structure, the owner was instructed to bring down the structure in 14 days failure to which it will be flattened at his own cost.
Tenants and occupants were also asked to vacate the premises before the set date.
Notice
"Notice is hereby given to the owner/developers of the illegal development namely AIRGATE MALL formerly Taj Mall s which has encroached on the road reserve and wayleave hindering the continuance of construction of the Outering Road.
"The owners are asked to remove this illegal development before 30 August 2018.
"Upon this expiry of his notice, the illegal development will be demolished or removed from the road reserve and wayleave at the owners' risk and cost," the statement reads.
However, the owner, Ramesh Gorasia, stated that he will never demolish the building.
