Uhuru gives Matiang'i 30-day deadline

The CS has few days to act.

Through his twitter handle on Tuesday, the President said that the report should have a comprehensive framework and strategy to improve their efficiency.

“I have directed CS Fred Matiang’i and Inspector General Joseph Boinnet to provide me with a comprehensive policy framework and strategy on how to improve efficiency & effectiveness in the National Police Service and equally address the persisting housing problem in the next 30 days,” the Head of State stated.

In February, President Uhuru launched a basic training curriculum at the Kenya School of Government at Lower Kabete in Nairobi, and promised to scale up the modernization plan for the police in his second term.
