Kenyan leaders mourn former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan

Kofi Annan died on Saturday!

"President has condoled with the family, friends and relatives of former UN Secretary-General and Nobel Laureate Kofi Annan who has passed away. Kofi Annan served as the seventh UN Secretary-General for two terms from 1997 to 2006. My thoughts and prayers go out to them as they come to terms with this sad news. We pray that the Almighty God will grant his family, relatives and friends the strength and grace to bear the loss," said President Uhuru.

Opposition leader Raila Odinga in his message said that Kofi Annan was dedicated and he tirelessly worked to stabilize the world and encouraged Africa to aspire to higher ideals of democracy, respect for human rights and sound governance as the path to sustainable peace and economic development.

Other leaders sent out their messages of condolences to the family and friends of Kofi Annan through their social media pages.
