According to Citizen Digital, the women had been practicing for six days running and remained at the stadium to await payment from the organisers of the function.

The women accused the county government headed by Samuel Wamathai for failing to honour the agreement.

The women claimed, Wamathai only offered them Sh500 and promised to give them the rest later.

However this did not go down well with the women who rejected the Sh500.

According to the women, one of them collapsed as a result of hunger since they had not eaten since 5am.

They further warned other women to be cautious when offering entertainment in government functions to avoid the same predicament.
