Police have arrested the main suspect in the murder of Constable Hellen Kwamboka, an officer who was attached to parliament.
She was found dead on Friday last week

In a report by K24, the suspect whose name was not mentioned is said to have been in hiding in Mt. Elgon.

His arrest comes about a week after the slain officer’s body was found inside her house in Nairobi’s Umoja estate.
According to Police, Constable Hellen Kwamboka failed to show up at work on Friday last week, prompting a search for her.
Detectives from Buruburu police station found her house locked from inside and they broke in, only to find Hellen’s body lying in a pool of blood with a deep cut on her head.
Police also said that marks were found on her neck, with blood stains all over the house.
In a report by Nation, the murder weapon was missing from the scene, and also her phone which police said was switched off.
Police began looking for her boyfriend who was the main suspected and was said to have visited Ms Kwamboka a day before she was found dead.
