A man is thought to have fallen to his death from a Kenya Airways plane flying over London after his body was discovered in a residential garden on Sunday.

London's Metropolitan Police said in a statement the man appeared to have been a stowaway, who fell from the landing gear compartment of a Kenya Airways plane on approach to Heathrow airport.
The man’s body smashed into a garden in a residential property in Clapham, South London.
The police statement read: "Police were called at 15:39hrs (10:39 ET) on Sunday, 30 June to a residential address in Offerton Road, Clapham after a body was discovered in a garden."

It added: "Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service. The body of a person believed to be a man (age unknown) was found. A post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course. Police are working to establish the man's identity."
A bag, water and some food were found in the landing gear compartment once the plane touched down at Heathrow Airport in London.
The national carrier issued a statement calling the incident unfortunate adding that it was working with the police who had reached out to the Kenya High Commission in London to offer assistance in identifying the body.
“The incident has been treated as sudden death and is now a police matter. The police have already been in contact with the Kenya High Commission to help identify and name the person,” the statement from Kenya Airways read.
