Self-declared opposition activist Miguna Miguna has bashed Raila Odinga over the ongoing fake-gold scandal, raising pertinent questions that in his opinion-make Raila an accomplice in the saga.

His remarks were in response to Odinga’s confession that he was a whistle-blower and held a meeting with the Dubai-based businessmen who were swindled in the scam.

Taking to Twitter, Miguna wondered how Odinga could be privy to such information yet he is not a high-ranking government official.

He also questioned why the UAE Prince caught up in the scam would approach Odinga who is neither in government nor in a position to help to resolve the theft at a time when he(the Prince) supposedly had access to Kenya’s legitimate government and officials.

“Raila is not the head of Kenya Police or the EACC. He is not the Director for Public Prosecutions. He is not a cabinet secretary or a principal secretary. Consequently, he could not have been called by the UAE Prince to go "resolve" the theft.” Miguna wrote.

Referring to Odinga in derogatory terms as “the people’s conman” Miguna questioned why it took him so long to come clean about what he knew on the whole scandal, alleging that the former Prime Minister was part of the fake gold syndicate.

“It took the People's Con-Man two weeks and a trip to DR Congo, Niger, Nigeria and Ghana before he could come clean.” Miguna wrote.

“What do you know? When and how did you know it?” He added.

In the opinion of the activist who was dramatically deported from Kenya last year, Odinga’s actions and confession of being a whistle-blower and meeting the Dubai-based businessmen amounted to an admission that he was working together with the swindlers.

“By definition, a "whistleblower" is a member of a cabal who is privy to and informs on his colleagues for crimes they have committed together but which he now wants to expose. When did Raila Odinga join the cabal? Who are its members? What are the full details of their crimes?

The People's Con-Man has confessed to being an intricate member of the cabal. If he had not been involved, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid would not have known of his key role and invited him to Dubai with Uhuru Kenyatta, Fred Matiang’i and Moses Wetang'ula.” Miguna opined.

The multi-billion fake gold scam which continues to make headlines has seen police make several arrests and question several individuals.
