Two people have been arrested over a fake travel documents syndicate in Nairobi’s Eastleigh estate.

According the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) the two suspects Mohamed Ismail Ibrahim and Ali Ibrahim Barow were arrested on Saturday.
The DCI detectives further said that several passports which included Kenyan, Somalia and Ethiopian passports were recovered at a hotel in Eastleigh after investigations.
“Detectives yesterday arrested two suspects-Mohamed Ismail Ibrahim &Ali Ibrahim Barow on suspicion of being part of a racket that is involved in making false travel documents. After investigations, several Kenyan,Somali & Ethiopian passports were recovered at a hotel in Eastleigh,” read one of the tweets from the DCI.
In another tweet, the investigations bureau said that the two suspects are believed to be part of a bigger group that is involved in trafficking migrants from the region to other countries.
The detectives added that further investigations will continue into the matter.
“Detectives believe that the two suspects are part of a larger group that smuggles migrants from the region to other countries. Investigations on the matter continues,” said the DCI.
