Bottled water

Mombasa County has banned the sale of bottled water as a preventive measure against Cholera outbreak.

In a directive issued by the County on Tuesday, all hotel workers alongside food and water vendors were also ordered to register at county offices.

This comes barely a month after the county was placed on high alert following a cholera outbreak at a Nairobi hospital as visitors from Kenya’s capital and other parts of the country trooped to the Coast for the Easter holiday.

Mombasa County government said it was on high alert in bid to ensure the disease does not spread to the tourism hub.
