According to the Murang'a senator, Mr Nyoro will not be charged after he secured a deal with state officials.
On Tuesday morning, Inspector-General of Police Hillary Mutyambai stated that he had recalled the probe file from Murang’a County for “review and guidance from the DPP.
Senator Kang’ata said he secured his release, with an assurance that there will be no charges against him.
Night arrest
Murang’a County Commander Josphat Kinyua, had insisted that “Legal action will be taken against the MP and other culprits involved in the incident.”
He had been arrested during a town hall meeting that was live on television from Murang’a, sparking outrage from locals.
