Mudavadi faces ejection from his party after new development

Mudavadi risks being kicked out of ANC

ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi

A day after ANC announced the expulsion of Nominated MP Godfrey Osotsi, lawmakers from the arty held a presser and cautioned their leader Musalia Mudavadi to tread lightly.

On Thursday, Senator Cleophas Malala and Mr Osotsi stated that it was impossible for Osotsi to be kicked out since he was among the founders of ANC.

The two advised Mudavadi to look for another party which he will use to ascend to the presidency in 2022 since ANC was not his brainchild.

Bad ideas

Malala further questioned why the party felt emboldened to expel Osotsi from his own party terming the move as null and void.

He stated that the expulsion was not lawful since Osotsi was the secretary general of the party and it was careless of the leadership to kick him out.

Commenting on the party ownership, Osotsi told off Mudavadi and his allies in the party asking them to check with the registrar of political parties.

“ANC at the point of registration had 11 members who are not known and who will be known very soon. I have been rattled, those fake meeting they have been having cannot expel me,” Osotsi said.

Misuse of funds

Speaking to Pulselive.co.ke Senator Malala further defended Osotsi saying that the expulsion could not be justified by ANC although the party had claimed the Nominated MP had misused funds.

"Osotsi has not committed any crime to warrant his expulsion... he was not the only signatory," Senator Malala stated.

He maintained that it was impossible to kick out Osotsi from a party he founded adding that he was ready for the consequences that would come for defending the Nominated MP.
