Kibaki's son makes new announcement on his father's health condition

Here is an official statement from Kibaki's son about Mzee's Health

Mwai Kibaki’s eldest son Jimmy Kibaki has revealed that his father is doing fine despite rumours of him being sick on Social media.

According to Jimmy, his father is enjoying his retirement at their Muthaiga home and he always goes for check-ups as scheduled by his doctors.

“Mzee is well, he goes for his regular check-ups and the doctors say he is in good health. I see him regularly and I can confirm that he is okay. The former president is always in a jovial and still is sharp-witted.” Jimmy revealed.

The son of the former President who was speaking to the Nairobian added that, his father served this country for many years and therefore Kenyans are always concerned about his health.

“He served his country for many years, and we know Kenyans are concerned about Mzee’s health. But I want to assure them that he is enjoying his retirement with his family around him. I ask Kenyans to ignore rumours about Mzee’s health.” Said Jimmy

He added that Kenyans should avoid creating unnecessary rumours around the health of his father.

“It is wrong to start claiming he is hospitalised, yet he is well. It’s simply wrong. If by any chance Mzee is unwell, we will let Kenyans know, but for now, there is no cause for alarm.” advised Jimmy Kibaki

On August 25, 2016, former President Mwai Kibaki underwent a successful minor operation to remove a clot in one of his neck arteries.
