Uhuru has handpicked former Nominated Senator Beatrice Elachi as Jubilee Candidate in the races for Nairobi County Assembly.
According to Roysambu MCA Peter Warutere who spoke to Nairobi News, Elachi has been proposed by the president and all MCA’s who attended the meeting agreed to the proposal.
If elected as the Speaker, Elechi will be deputized by Kamangu Nyumu.
The meeting saw the seat of Majority Leader in the Assembly go to Matopeni MCA Abdi Guyo Hussein who was the minority leader in the last assembly while Mwaura Chege of Ngara will take the Majority Whip position.
Other positions agreed upon are that of the speaker's panel that will comprise of Mark Ngugu MCA Maringo, Cyrus Mathara of Dandora and Patricia Mutheu of Mlango Kubwa Ward.
However, NASA elected MCA’s also held a meeting to agree on those who will face the Jubilee team in the County assembly slots.

George Wainaina the chief staff of former Nairobi governor Evans Kidero will face Elechi for the speaker’s seat.
Other going for the speaker's seat include. Alex Ole Magelo, Caren Nyamu, Benard Mutura, Rachael Shebesh, Ken Nyondi among others
