Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has appealed for help in arresting an armed gang that was caught on camera in a daring daylight robbery, offering a handsome reward to anyone with useful information on the gang.

Sonko shared the video of the gang armed with what appears to be a gun and a hammer, storming into an MPesa shop in Huruma and smashing the glass barriers before one of them squeezed in through the broken glass to collect their loot.

Other customers at the shop are cornered in panic during the swift raid that takes less than two minutes before the gang makes away with the loot stashed in a sack.

The Nairobi governor has pledged a reward of Ksh 100000 to anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the thugs.

Sonko condemned the act, reiterating that such actions are unacceptable and reminded the youth to shun crime and surrender all illegal firearms to the authorities.

He also hinted that it is such acts of crime that see Nairobi’s mystery crime buster known as Hessy wa Dandora, Hessy wa Kayole among other names take action, resulting in frequent complaints of the youth involved in crime being felled by the bullet.
