Suspected drug lord arrested in Nairobi deported swiftly

He frequents high-end entertainment joints, openly dishing out cash

Security agencies and immigration officials on Saturday moved in and swiftly arrested and deported Kelvin Adeshina Akinjiola  who is believed to be involved in drug trafficking.

Department of Immigration Services revealed that circumstances under which Kelvin Adeshina Akinjiola returned to the country even after being deported in 2018 remain unclear.

The illegal immigrant who is believed to be a big shot in the illegal drug trafficking business was deported from Nairobi on Saturday and arrested upon arrival in Nigeria.

Director of Immigration Services Alexandra Mutesi confirmed to the Sunday Nation that “He was deported on Saturday and arrested upon arrival at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, Nigeria.

The suspected drug lord was arrested after Kenyan officials informed their Nigerian counterparts that he was engaged in drug trafficking.

Akinjiola who is a popular figure in Nairobi’s high end entertainment joints cruises around in high end vehicles and is often seen in the company of influential individuals.

He never runs out of generosity, openly dishing out cash with Sunday Nation reporting that he is often seen in the company of armed guards.

This was the second time that the suspect, known for his lavish lifestyle was being deported from Kenya.

Reports indicate that he was first expelled from the country on July 10, 2018 by Interior Cabinet Security Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i.
