The decision comes a few days after a dormitory was set on fire and destroyed property of unknown value.
According to reports, Education officials in Nakuru County made the decision to send home all students after a teacher on duty found petrol poured in a dormitory.
"All students have been directed to go home until further notice as we conduct investigations to avert cases of arson," said Dr. Mary Gaturu, the Rift valley Education Director.
She added that the investigations will seek to find who was behind the Thursday arson attack as well as who drenched petrol in the dormitory that had about 70 students inside, on Saturday night.
Investigators from Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Njoro in collaboration with the police have begun investigations.
Further reports say that the students have been complaining of more learning hours set by the school’s management.
"Learners demanded transfer of top administration and also want learning hours away from normal lessons removed," said Njoro Sub-County Police Commander Mohamed Huke.
