8 killed in tragic Friday night accident

At least eight people died in a tragic road accident involving a 14 seater matatau and a motorbike at Lwandeti along Eldoret – Malaba road in Kakamega county on Friday night.

Reports indicate that the matatu belonging to North Rift Sacco which was ferrying passengers from Nairobi rammed into the boda boda which was ferrying three pasengers at the time of the crash before colliding with an oncoming lorry.

Among the dead are passengers who were on the motorbike.

Several others were rushed to hospital in critical condition with fears that the number f casualties could rise.
