The party's Secretary General Edwin Sifuna said they will forge new political alliances after the Kibra by-election.

ODM seems angered by the decsion of Ford-Kenya and ANC to sponsor Khamisi Butichi and Eliud Owalo in the Kibra by-election.

“We have our friends from Nasa who want to use the opportunity to formalise their divorce from the coalition,” Mr Sifuna said.

“We have known these people as parasites and leeches, which we have carried on our back,” he added.

Sifuna revealed that ODM will be building new coalitions with people who supported its quest for the Kibra seat.

Mudavadi and Ruto

The ODM secretary general stated: “New alliances will be formed. We are counting our friends like Maina Kamanda (Jubilee), Cleophas Malala and Geoffrey Osotsi (both of ANC) in this election."

He continued: "This same team will spearhead the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report and proceed to the 2022 elections."

Sifuna further alleged that Mudavadi was looking into joining hands with Deputy President William Ruto in fighting the BBI report.

However, Ford-Kenya Secretary-General Eseli Simiyu said that ODM wanted to cut links with the other parties so that they demand their share of the political parties funding.
