According to reports, officers who found the body suspected that the woman was 7 months pregnant.
Police say that the unidentified woman was killed at the scene.
In a separate incident, police found the body of a mother of three hanging near Langa Langa shopping center, in Gilgil.

Bid farewell to friends
The woman is said to have bid farewell to her friends after the Sunday service, only for her body to be found in the morning.
Gilgil OCPD Emmanuel Opuru said a suicide note was found in one of her pockets where she had indicated that life had become too unbearable for her.
In the note, the deceased told tells friends to take care of her three children who are in school.

Another body of a 48-year-old woman was found near Comboni Polytechnic hanging from a tree in Gilgil.
According to a neighbour, the mother of two worked in a local market selling belts and hats and it was not immediately clear what could have happened.
