Police have launched investigations into the mysterious death of three people employed to work on a project by Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi in Karen.

Reports reaching Pulselive.co.ke news desk indicate that the three are part of a team of seven men who had been hired by Mudavadi to work on a project in his Karen.

According to the ANC party leader, the 7 were rushed to hospital after drinking an unknown concoction on Thursday. 4 were treated and discharged while 3 lost their lives.

Mudavadi broke the news on Saturday morning, confirming that three out of seven workers had died.

The post read in part that “On Thursday, 7 workers on a construction project in which I've partnered drunk an unknown concoction. Sadly 3 lost their lives but 4 have been discharged. The matter has been reported to the police for further investigation.”

The dead include Mudavadi’s caretaker and two workers contracted by the contractor on site.

The NASA principal stated that he was out of the country at the time of the incident and pledged to do his best to assist the victims.

He further confirmed that police have launched investigations to establish what caused their deaths.
