Forget Duale’s home, here are 5 politicians with fancier Hollywood-like palatial homes (Photos)
When pictures of Aden Duale’s compound in Garrisa made it to online media, there was excitement and anger surrounding this house.
Duale’s house aside, here are 5 politicians with enviable palaces in the country:
Kidero’s house in Muthaiga looks like something off a Hollywood Magazine with the palatial house he shares with Susan Mboya stretching across large tracts of land in Muthaiga.
The first time we came across his house was when flamboyant lawyer Donald Kipkorir paid him a courtesy call and we couldn’t help but gawk at the tastefully done state-of-the-art mansion.
At the height of the NYS scandal, pictures of a home said to belong to former Devolution and National Planning Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru made their way to the public eye.
Journalists who had been barred from encroaching into the home of Waiguru in Kihingo Village Estate, near the International School of Kenya managed to capture shots of the titanic house. Pictures which later proved to be a pain in Waiguru’s behind as she was forced to fend off rumors that she spent NYS money to purchase the 20 Million Kshs home.
3. Mike Sonko
Of course it wouldn’t be a list of mansions without Sonko’s house. Nairobi’s incumbent senator owns a huge mansion in Mua Hills in Maanzoni, Machakos that reportedly cost about 150 Million Kshs.
It’s said to have been made with ultramodern materials and he allegedly even imported an architect to bring his vision to life. A house that one can tell clearly belongs to Sonko as he literally has his name and personality all over it.
4. Kabogo’s Mansion
Kabogo has never been one to flaunt his wealth on social media, but his son Kabogo has given us countless snippets of their house in Winsor which is the bomb.com! It’s tastefully done, it has a pool and it looks like a nice place to retire.
5.Kibaki’s 500 Million Mansion
While many of us would hop on a chance to live in a 500 Million Kshs mansion set on prime land along the Nyeri – Mweiga highway and next to Mweiga airstrip, the former president passed up on this chance.
He chose the fast Nairobi life over settling in a compound with a gargantuan swimming pool, a jazzy Jacuzzi and a 100-acre compound manned by guards.
