In a gazette notice published on December 5, the DPP listed the lawyers while noting that there was a need to prevent conflict between his office and the Judiciary in a number of cases his office he is handling.
Lawyers managing cases under the Anti-counterfeit act 2008 who have been fired are Stephen O. Mallowah, Stan M. Manthi, Hellen N. Limang'ura, Sammy A. Sirich and Francis M. Kamau.

From the Kenya Forestry Act 2005 department, he fired Appolinary J. Mwandigha, John M. Mbatha, Nancy W. Maina, Stephen B. Okayo, Wilson M. David, David K. Mutai, Rogers M. Ruriga and Patricia M. Mwangi.
Gitonga Murungura lost his job handling criminal cases under the Energy act.
The Gazette notice also outlined the duties of newly appointed Queen's Counsel Khawar Qureshi.
