CS Amina also revealed that there will be only one selection for positions in secondary schools for this year's candidates which will begin on 3rd December.

KNEC Chairman George Magoha asked parents to accept their children's results adding that parents were responsible for the many cases of teen pregnancies.

"It is our duty to ensure we spend quality time with our children," the Knec chairman stated.

Prof Magoha also noted that only four cases of cheating were reported in this year's KCPE exam and their results were cancelled.

Exam Irregularities

Notably, over 1 million candidates took the exam and the success of the KCPE results was attributed to tight security.

There were few reported malpractice cases with three exam centres put on the spot over suspicious malpractices and 14 people arrested.

Knec CEO Nancy Macharia on her part cautioned teachers who were involved in exam irregularities but maintained that most teachers were cooperative.
