MP Alfred Keter speaks on his arrest

He was arrested on Friday for allegedly faking Treasury Bills worth Sh633 million

According to a report by the Star, the vocal MP said that it was a setup and that he had only gone there to help the two people he was arrested alongside.

“I just came to assist you then you put me in your mess. Then why is the media here? This is a set up,” he said to his accomplices who remained silent during the arrest at the Central Bank of Kenya.

The legislator affiliated to the Jubilee Party was nabbed on Friday morning alongside Arthur Ingolo Sakwa, and Madat Suburali Chatur both who are co-directors of Desai Industries by the Anti-Banking Fraud Unit for allegedly trading fake Treasury bills worth Sh633 million.
