Mudavadi and Wetangula to make important announcement at Ruto's home
The two leaders are set to issue the announcement to their supporters.
The two leaders said they will inform their supporters on the proposed Luhya unity and planned merger between the Amani National Congress (ANC) and Ford Kenya.
According to ANC Secretary General Barrack Muluka, the rallies are set to begin on Saturday with plans already ongoing.
Mudavadi is also set to attend a church function in Eldoret on Sunday.
The two leaders visited Nandi County two weeks ago in the presence of Nandi Governor Stephen Sang’ and Senator Samson Cherargei where the initial plan for merging their two parties was first announced.
Mudavadi and Wetang’ula said they are already in talks with other political leaders and the merger will be announced at the right time.
The ANC and Ford Kenya party leaders said they are already in talks with other political leaders for possible mergers ahead of 2022.
The two along with Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka have accused NASA leader Raila Odinga of betraying them after the ODM leader's "swearing-in" on January 30 at Uhuru Park.
The NASA cracks widened after Odinga met President Uhuru Kenyatta for unity talks without consulting them and Wetangula's ouster days later from the powerful position of Senate Minority leader.
