Mudavadi's party speaks on leaving NASA coalition
A leaked Memo has exposed worrying details about Mudavadi's relationship with Raila.

ANC Deputy party leader and Lugari MP Ayub Savula, in a statement after the controversial appointment by ODM to EALA jobs, revealed that Mudavadi, the founder of NASA, was given only dry skin with regard to the House positions.
“If possible, we will even go to court to block the names submitted by NASA from being accepted by the Speaker,” Mr Savula said, adding that the clear position of ANC party will be decided on in the meeting later this week.
Mr Savula, however, dispelled fears that the decision to quit the coalition has not been unanimously reached as earlier reported by a section of the media.

“NASA principals are still consulting with a view to addressing the matter amicably. ANC is an integral member of NASA and any insinuation and threats that ANC will pull out of the coalition are inaccurate, irresponsible and motivated by myopic, selfish motives,” Mr Savula said in a statement.
Last week, just after the appointment of Raila’s key allies to the East Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA), ANC’s leaked memo expressed concerns of a possibility to quit the coalition, citing negligence by the Odinga’s Orange Democratic Movement.
The list of names which also included Raila Odinga’s brother – Oburu Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka’s son – Kennedy Musyoka – irked Coast members of parliament, who stormed out of parliament in protest.
Mr Savula has revealed that the recent decision to have commissioner to Parliamentary Service Commission sourced from ANC would not do any good. The seat was either meant for Mr Khaniri or Sabatia MP Alfred Agoi.
“The position has nothing to do with the leadership of the House, where real business takes place. Commissioner to PSC is like a trade unionist and it is a periphery position that will not help Mudavadi’s party advance its agenda,” he said.

Meanwhile, Wiper Party has distanced itself from earlier plans to have Raila Odinga sworn-in next week, arguing that it doesn’t want to be part of the chaos that could come out.
Wiper Party Deputy Leader and former National Assembly deputy Speaker Farah Maalim in an interview on Monday morning backed off from the plan, terming it unconstitutional.
Mr Maalim, who recently petitioned the re-election of National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale for the Garissa Township parliamentary seat, distanced himself from the plans to have his party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, take an oath of Deputy President alongside ODM’s Raila Odinga on December 12 as earlier announced by the former Premier.
“As someone with a legal background I will like to uphold the law. I have not been part of any process that is arranging for the swearing in of Raila Odinga,” Mr Maalim told NTV’s AM Live show on Monday morning, but failed to disclose if that was the position of the Mr Kalonzo’s Wiper Party.
He added: “I will hesitate endorsing any 'swearing in' because that is a recipe for chaos.”

The new development comes hours after NASA’s key strategist Dr David Ndii who was last week tasked with streamlining operations of the People’s Assembly, which was understood to be working on Raila swearing.
