ANC Secretary General reveals why Mudavadi will not ditch Raila, dismisses his union with Wetangula

Godfrey Osotsi gives the way forward for ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi

Addressing the public at a series of rallies in Kawangware, Osotsi noted that Odinga is still very popular in Luhya land and this is unlikely to change hence Mudavadi has to hang on to Odinga to remain relevant.

He maintained that any attempt by Mudavadi to walk out on Odinga was a self destructive exercise in futility as he needs Odinga for his political survival.

In a bare knuckle attack, the ANC leader disclosed that he “will not support any aimless and self-destructive political adventures that have retarded our (ANC) political gains since the foundation of the party in 2015".

"Luhya unity is a political myth created by selfish politicians for political preservation. 2002 election scenario confirmed that the community can vote in one basket if they get an inspiring leader who provides hope and promotes inclusivity," Osotsi said.

Mudavadi and Wetangula recently conducted an extensive tour of Western region, calling for unity of the Luhya community.

Well-placed sources within the two political parties reveal that talks are underway for a merger with some of Deputy President William Ruto’s allies disclosing that the two NASA principals could work with the DP.
